SBI SCO Selection Process 2026-27
The selection process differs slightly depending on the post applied for, but all candidates must clear shortlisting before appearing for the interview stage.
- Dean and Faculty Posts (Advt No. 20): Shortlisting, followed by an Interview cum Demo Session. The interview and demo session carry 100 marks, and the qualifying marks are decided by the Bank.
- Marketing Executive and Both IT Risk Posts: Shortlisting, followed by an Interview.
- Shortlisting: A shortlisting committee constituted by the Bank decides the shortlisting parameters. Merely fulfilling the minimum qualification and experience does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview, and the Bank's decision is final.
- CTC Negotiation: Conducted with candidates in order of merit, one by one. If a selected candidate does not agree to the negotiated CTC, they are treated as a Voluntary Exit, and the next candidate in the merit list is called.
- Merit List: Prepared in descending order based on interview marks only. In case of a tie at the cut-off, candidates are ranked by age in descending order, with the older candidate ranked higher.
- Final Selection: The top-most candidates in the merit list with whom CTC negotiation is successful are finally selected.
Shortlisting is provisional and done without verification of original documents. Candidature is subject to verification of all details and documents against originals at the time of interview. If a candidate called for interview or CTC negotiation is found not to satisfy the eligibility criteria, they will not be allowed to appear, and no travelling expenses will be reimbursed.
