Job Description

The Office of the District & Sessions Judge, Nagaon, Assam, invites applications for the following positions:

1. Driver (Anticipated Vacancy)

   • Pay Scale: ₹14,000 – ₹70,000 + Grade Pay ₹5,200

   • Category: Unreserved (UR)

2. Driver (Contractual)

   • Fixed Pay: ₹15,000 per month

   • Category: Unreserved (UR)

   • Nature: Purely Temporary

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications:

• Age Limit: 18–40 years (as of January 1, 2025). Age relaxation applicable as per government rules.

• Education: Class VIII passed. Note: HS-passed candidates are not eligible.

• License: Valid Professional/Transport Driving License.

Key Requirements:

• Indian citizenship (per Articles 5–8 of the Constitution).

• Candidates must not be beneficiaries of the Orunudoi Scheme (declaration required upon appointment).

Selection Process

1. Skill Test (Driving)

2. Written/Viva-Voce Test

   • Original documents must be presented during the viva.
