Educational Qualification & Age Limit

Educational Qualification

  • Trade Apprentice: ITI Pass Certificate in the relevant trade from a recognized institution.
  • Diploma Apprentice: Full-time Diploma in the relevant Engineering discipline from a recognized institute. Qualification must be completed within 5 years as on 30 June 2026.
  • Graduate Apprentice: Full-time Graduate Degree in Non-Engineering streams such as BA, B.Sc., B.Com. or equivalent from a recognized university. Degree must be completed within 5 years as on 30 June 2026.
  • Candidates must complete mandatory registration on NAPS or NATS portals.

Age Limit

Trade Apprentice18 to 24 Years
Diploma Apprentice18 to 25 Years
Graduate Apprentice21 to 28 Years

Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India rules.

  • SC/ST – 5 Years
  • OBC (NCL) – 3 Years
  • PwBD – 10 Years

Salary / Stipend Details

Trade Apprentice (1 Year ITI)₹9,600 per month
Trade Apprentice (2 Year ITI)₹10,560 per month
Diploma Apprentice₹10,900 per month
Graduate Apprentice₹12,300 per month

The apprenticeship training period will be for a maximum of one year at NPCIL MAPS Kalpakkam, Tamil Nadu.

Selection Process

The NPCIL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 selection process is completely merit-based and does not include any written examination.

  • Merit List based on marks obtained in ITI, Diploma, or Graduation.
  • Preference to candidates residing within 16 km radius of MAPS Plant Site.
  • Document Verification.
  • Medical Fitness Examination.
  • Police Verification Certificate Submission.
  • Final Engagement as Apprentice.

In case of a tie in marks, older candidates will be given preference. If the tie continues, higher marks in Class 10 will be considered.
